THE WYNN MACAU INTEGRATED RESORT
In celebration of the completion of Wynn Resorts first integrated resort in China, a coffee table style book was produced recognising the contribution made by the teams involved in designing and building the Wynn Macau. The various teams included Wynn Design and Development, the project architects, the construction contractor and engineers, labour resources, the many draftsmen and women, document and IT management, interior design and fit-out teams, logistics and warehousing and many other integral professionals.
SINGAPORE MRT CIRCLE LINE FIVE UNDERGROUND STATIONS & TUNNELS
Celebrating the completion of the C856 Circle Line for Singapore’s fourth Mass Rapid Transit Line. This fully underground orbital line, links all radial lines leading to the city and serves half a million people daily. The project comprised 3.4 kilometres of 6.6 metre diameter twin bored tunnels, 640 metres of cut-and-cover tunnels, civil works for four underground stations and the architectural and building services for the five MRT stations.
ENGINEERING THE VISION. THE HONG KONG WEST KOWLOON STATION
Celebrating the completion of the 11-hectare site of the largest MTR station in Hong Kong that serves as the terminus of the Express Rail Link connecting the special administrative region with over 27,000 kilometres of China’s national high-speed rail network. Under a dramatic and irregular three-dimensional roof structure the vast station consists of four basement and two above-ground levels, with facilities including nine long-haul and six shuttle train platforms, customs and immigration and numerous retail and food and beverage outlets. This is the story of the planning, programming, logistics and safety challenges associated with the delivery of such a uniquely complex project.
